hmmmm, bmw wheels anyone???

Post by purduecrew »

ok so i havent done crap to my truck since i got it this jan.

so i realized the other day that bmw wheels fit quite well on s10s, especially 4x4's. Anyone on here done that? Got pictures??? I really like the PA3 zr2 wheel, i dont think anything but a satin wheel will work for the look Im going for. I dont want chrome or black for ease of cleaning purposes. I also think that our trucks need "heavy" looking wheels, or they just look out of place. Anyone got anything to say on this???

I have never seen BMW wheels on a s10 before , but photoshop could help you out with that

I also like the PA3's , but would rather have ZR5 rims , there are just so many PA3's out there , and very little of the ZR5 type

I just did a very quick cut and paste of one type of rim , but if you squint your eyes a bit , you get the idea of what it may look like . http://www3.telus.net/public/a6a60430/balckCC.jpg

haha awesome blaze, it does the trick. i can definitely say seeing them on the truck makes a big difference...I dont think I like those, too light looking once on the big ole CC... hmm still some other options, looks like big and bulky is the way to go for sure...

deep "dish" or rims with a wide lip look good too , make the rim look as if it is super wide .

Some wheels may not be adequite for a truck. Make sure they are rated for the loads applied.
Wheels for a sub 3000# BMW with 25" tires may not be safe on a 5900# loaded crew cab running 33" tires.

I have found a few rims that I would really like on the CC that have the right back spacing and bolt pattern, however none of them have the right load rating or they specify 2WD only. This was a safety concern to me since the rims will see off road conditions that place different types of loads on a rim. Even if you never go off road with your CC I would at least make sure the rims have a similar load rating as the factory rims just to be safe. :D

oh yes no doubt, hence why i mentioned earlier im not sending orders in tommorow or anything, just trying to play my options out. I just think these trucks look best with bulky satin wheels. I mean yes they look good with rockcrawlers and kmc enduros too, but the whole story is this truck doubles as a truck that hauls people around for real estate... so I dont think old people wanna ride around in a trail rig if you know what I mean. If it wasnt for that, enduros it would be BUT, thats life...so if anyone knows of a 15-17 satin type wheel(gray instead of machined or chrome) throw em up!!
