spacers
hey yall, new to the board! anyways, gots a question for ya. have a 02' gmc crewcab, anyways, we do not like the way the back tires tuck in the rear fenders compared to the front. read that spacers easily fix that problem. anyways, we tow a pretty heavy boat, does the new spacers in any way affect towing? are the studs that are on the spacer as good or better then the ones that came stock? i heard 1.75" was what should be use, is that about right? thanks for any info guys. also if you could give me a few good brands to use that would be much appreciated! thanks again!

Welcome aboard
The front and rear track listed in the Stock Specs , shows the front is 2.1" wider. Therefore if you are wanting to line them up , the closest you can get is the 1.25" spacers.
The studs are that long so any smaller is not possible with out cutting the stock studs off.
As for pulling a trailer, I think you'll be fine so long as you do not exceed the towing capacity of the vehicle.
IMO the greatest stress would involve exceeding the tongue weight, or overloading the GVWR.
The studs are the same , so no worries there. The weakest point would probably be where the studs are mounted in the spacer.
Properly torqued and maintained, I'm not worried about any problems.
How heavy is the boat you pull?

I have 1.5" spacers and I love them..makes the front match up with the rear pretty nicely..... Came with 10 nuts also for like $130 or maybe less...

I think the truck I used was a 98 blazer 4x4..same bolt pattern. They can get just about any size u want but our lug nuts stick out an inch so anything under an inch, u'd have to cut them or grind them down
