Hey guys I am getting ready to have the 6" Superlift installed on my S-10 Crew Cab and am wanting information on wheel(size and backspacing) and tire I can use without having to trim my fenders. I want as wide a track as I can get but I don't want to have any fender rub issues. I saw where Steve2003 had 31x10.50 on 15x8's with 3 3/4 BS but he said he had some fender rub. I am thinking 15x8's with 4-4.25 BS with 31x10.50?
What do you guys think?

1. do you plan on having a body lift installed?
-if so you can get away with a little larger tire.
-if not i'd try and stick to SL's recomended tire size. i beleive it was 33X10.50 tire on a 15X8 rime with 4-5" or 5-6" of backspacing (I can't remember which).
2. another question is whether you're going to wheel your rig?
-if this is going to be strictly a street truck then again you can get away with a little larger tire.
-if you 4wheel it and the suspension gets articulated you might want a smaller tire to avoid rubbing
just a couple of ideas to keep in mind
as always, don't forget to keep us posted and post your pics

This is just my opinion, I wouldn't go with a 33" tire with the 6" SL. I don't care what the backspacing is your going to rub. As far as the backspacing I don't see what difference it makes with rubbing issues, either you stick out 1/2" or 1 or 2" from your fender. There are different superlift kits for our truck, which one are you getting? I got the K776B the B stands for the upgraded Bilstein shocks. Jeggers got his kit from Summit, it wasn't the B model but he got the steering stabelizer shock and the Superlift skidplate. Since I replaced my upper and lower ball joints I'm not having any rubbing issues. Mostly my rubbing issues were when I was turning into my steep driveway. Maybe you can check with JeffC and see what he's running. Good luck and make sure that if your having someone do it that they are very experienced in lifting trucks. There are some parts that you do not want to use a impact wrench on, like the bracket that connects to your front differential. Remember this is just my opinion. Can't wait until you join the SL fraternity, make sure you get lots of pics!

I am going to go with the K776 and have the steering stabalizer put on also. This truck will go off road sometimes just not as extreme as some guys go. This truck is my daily driver and the only time it does go offroad is when I am at the farm and having to go throught the fields. Not much in the way of rock climbing and obstacles here. I will keep everyone posted on how my lift proceeds.
