steve2003, no its not on that is a sore subject. during the install i lost a small spring shaped clip holding the cable (that enages the front axle) to the vacume accuator. I thougtht it was comeing from the dealer but they called on fri. and said they cant get it by itself . I could by the accuator for $80. First I want to look into this 4x4 posi-lok set up.

I would go with the body lift , but those 31's will look small, my wife and coworkers all think my 32's look small.

Here are some pics from this weekend
http://forum.zr2.com/ubb/noncgi/ultimat ... 9;t=002094
you need a solid axle so you can do this
I still haven't broken anything yet (knock on wood) or had to replace anything in the front axle.
the only thing I have had to do so far is I am changing my rear u-joints b/c they are getting warn out.

Be careful what you say, what goes around comes around. When I went over to my friends house to mount my light bar I saw a S-10 blazer parked in front of his house, damn that thing sat high! So I pulled up right next to it and it towered over my truck. My buddy came out and I said "who's blazer is that?" He said it was his daughter's boyfriend's. He came out (the daughters boyfriend) and we walked over and started looking at his blazer. He has the same exact set up as you have. We started talking about gears, I told him I had 3.42's on mine, and he said "yeah that's what I used to have on mine and I blew my whole rear end out from having the 35's." It cost him $2400 to have 4.10's put in and have everything fixed. So I hope you changed your gears so you don't end up looking like your "rolling around with doughnuts" You've seen the problems Bubaloo's had and he even changed his gears. This is somethings HJ told me when I first came on this site and wanted to mod my truck. Jeggers is right about me putting a 2" BL on my truck with the 31's because the bigger tire you got the more you need a gear change. Anyway's Bro your truck looks great Good luck your truck is sweet!SomeCrew wrote: Looks like your rollin around on 4 donuts

yeah, i'm happy with my truck the way it is, even if it is a couple inches shorter then the big boys. so no t-bar crank for me. the truck gets me from point A to point B (while purposly going out of my way to hit mud puddle C ) in style

"Most" not all S-10 Superlift 6" SL owners moved on to SFA or traded trucks. What is your end goal? If, it is just for show then let us know and hopefully members won't act juvenile here. We have long time members like Steve that swears by them but, I think he may be in the minority.HCO4x4 wrote:im looking for the 6" superlift and i only have 1200 to spend. When I see $1200 mentioned, my mind shoots straight to an awesome Mopar deal where you can attain a new Danna 44 equipped with 4.10 gearing, plug and play electric lockers and disc brakes at any Mopar dealer.
If, you wheel I would look in that direction. If, you are seeking looks then advise us and we will do our best to assist.

I want it pretty much for looks. Maybe once a month i hit a nearby mudhole and i go pretty hard. I considered the SAS but i dont feel like i know enough mechanics to do that. Plus I didnt think 1200 would be enough for it. I didnt see any real price for a full SFA kit. I do think that a SAS would be awsome though if it was easy enough. My ultimate goal is height. What are your thoughts?

A Super Lift for $1200 is a good deal. I do not know if, it is something you will install or pay someone to to do it for you. Install prices vary around the country but, I think that $500 would be a steal.HCO4x4 wrote:...............What are your thoughts?
Is this a DD or just a toy? I unloaded a very nice toy for much cheaper than you can wheel a used ATV for.
Lost my butt in the deal but, it was fun. Paid 2K for it, wrenched the bejusus out of it, poured over 1K into it and wheeled the heck out of it. Unloaded it for 2K.
It was a part time DD too. You just have to decide what is good for you

I tend to think that you will not have enough for a Superlift kit. You do have enough for the Marvelous Mystery lift though. It can be done without flares.

My truck is a daily driver. I have seen the mystery lift before and i have it all besides the Boise Springs. Right now the truck is perfectly level and I dont really want the rear to be higher and not the front. I think if i can find the superlift for 1200 again I can do it myself as i do everything else. Or if the SAS is same or less in price ( I dont think so) I think i could figure that out if i had all the parts.
I bet that Jeep was a lot of fun, I wish I had cool trails around here.

The problem I see is that the $1200 will cover the wheels and tires, then you still need the money to buy the lift. Gather up another $1200 and I think you will be in the ball park for a Superlift.

Well I have 31's now and my friend is going to be upgrading from 33's to 35's pretty soon so i dont think wheels are a big problem. How goofy do you think the 31's would look anyway? The reason I want to do this now is because I'm on summer break for 2 months and i wont have time to do it during the school year. What is the cheapest you have found it?

Cheapest I remember it was $1700. It should be well past $2000 by now.
31" tires will look silly, not to mention that you need to go wider to be safe after that much lift.
Save up twice what you have now and you will be ready to get started. Plan in it costing three times what you have saved to get it finished right.
