So I cranked on my T-bars last night, but it didn't go as I expected. From everything I read on here it would take 5 full turns to get 1 inch of lift. Well after 3 1/2 each my passenger side was as far as I'd want it to go...tell me if you all think this is okay:
The driver's side wasn't even close, but I know I'm not that first that had these out of whack to start with, here's how it looks:
Anyway, I was upset when I thought I'd only be getting like a 1/2 inch lift, but when I set it down on the ground and re-measured, both sides had lifted like 1 1/4". So obviously mine is not the .20"/per revolution or something...I can't figure it out, but oh well...it's higher and my cv boots actually look really good, I posted some pics in my gallery here:

Does everyone think that it's okay on that passenger side bolt or did I go too far? I have between 2 and 2 1/2 threads still showing. I'm gonna get it aligned tonight unless you guys think I went too far and then I'll have to back it down first, so let me know. Thanks!!

Both of my bolts have about the same amount of threads showing as your driver side. I did a 1" lift that settled to 3/4". I'm not sure why some people have drastically different adjustments to get both sides the same height. When you have it aligned, ask the tech if you can sit in the truck to compensate for your weight, and ask them to make sure your truck sits level from side to side (they should know how to readjust the t-bars to make it level). If they say they can't do that then go somewhere else. Ther are a lot of alignment shops in the USA, but only about 10% of them are taking the time to do it correctly.

I also have about the same threads showing on mine. I haven't had any problems. I don't know why but tbar cranks are drastically different from truck to truck. I got 2" out of mine and have heard from more people other than coreylubahn that they can't get more than 1" to 1 1/2". Mine has probably sagged a half an inch or so but I definitely had 2" when I first cranked and I also got 9 turns out of the passenger side and 10 1/2 turns out of the drivers side. I was pretty woried about this at first because I had never heard of anyone getting that many turns out of the adjustment bolts. I grew some hair and stayed with it and like I said, no problems since. That was about 1 1/2 years ago.

a2b, I've heard the same thing and read it in the mod section before I cranked mine. That's why I was so worried when it took as many turns as it did to do mine. Although, I've heard from other people that it didn't take near as many or a lot more to get an inch so there are definitely exceptions out there.rule of thumb for s-series vehicles
