Do you have to buy a HPIII to get your computer reprogrammed for bigger tires? Just wondering if the $300+ needs to be added to my wish list or whether I can go to the dealer or elsewhere and they can do it for me. Thanks again guys....so to ask so many questions.

The Tech2 (GM dealers diagnostic tool) can adjust for tire sizes within limits for different vehicles.

I have heard of costs ranging from $12 to $60. It is all what they bill as a minimum charge. It takes the tech about 5 minutes, Most of that is untangling the cord ;)

Although you get a lot more with the HPIII as far as performance gains. What tires did you go with?

I haven't gotten any tires just yet, still trying to figure out if I want to do the SL 6" (basically weighing the costs). I would definitely like to have a HPIII but would then have to figure on the $300+ in my costs, if I can get it later then it helps speed up the curve on getting the lift...which I think I am probably going to do. Thanks for the information, it helps a bunch knowing that I can get the speedo corrected fairly reasonably.
