So instead of going out and buying an add a leaf, my friend had his stock leafs from his fullsize z71 that he put new leaf springs on. After finding out that the springs were the same width we brought his spring packs down to my house and disassembled them. For my car I used the secondary spring right below the one with the bushings in it. We had to cut about 2-3" off of the end to make it the right length, then we just jacked my car up, removed the u bolts and center pin, then added in the new leaf into the pack under my primary leaf, reinserted the center pin and bolted everything back up. Anyways it was a free about 1" of lift with the extra leaf supporting my entire primary leaf minus about 1" at each side.
If you need more info just pm me. Maybe it could be a free/very cheap alternative to the boise kit or add a leafs, b/c you could easily pick up stock leafs from a junkyard for close to free.

The donor parts were from a 92 chevy k1500 z71 full size truck
and we put them on my 2000 blazer
the spring did have to be shortened about 3 inches but otherwize I think all chevy trucks have the same width leaf, so you probably have some options as far as the donor vehicle.
