Another spacer question...

OK guys I know this topic has pretty much been beaten to death but I want to make sure before I buy these. 1.25" spacers for the rear of my blazer. I want to eliminate the gap as much as possible. Its from the Ebay guy. It says they are hub centric, is anyone else running these and what are your opinions? How long have you ahd them for?

Also is 1.25" enough or should I go wider?

Those look like good ones.

1.25" will get your track close to the same, front to rear.

If later, with enough clearance, you decide to widen the whole stance. You can move them to the front and get 2" spacers for the rear.

I'd get those.

Have you guys had good dealings with this eBay guy? I asked a simple question about his spacers and never heard back from him. Kind of shady I think.

No gocntry I never did. I didn't have the disposable cash laying around when I started that thread. I will be ordering in a couple of weeks, he seems to always have them listed. Looks like good stuff.

I think Reed (F9K9) bought some. Might want to ask him what He thinks.

There was a mis-communication though, they arrived with 1/2" studs instead of the stock 12mm studs.

You might want to clarify the stud size before ordering , if you prefer the stock stud size.

It took 2 emails to attract his attention but, he has been very helpful! I couldn't find the correct lug bolts locally so he has ordered the 12MMx1.5 that is our stock thread and when they arrive I will switch them with the 1/2 inch and send his back. Cheaper than shipping the entire spacers (19.5 pounds) back

Make sure that the knurled section of the stud is the same size for both before the switch.
Last thing you want is loose studs in those spacers.

You can always drill them out for larger studs, but no matter how much you drill the hole out ...it will never get smaller

Oh, you may already know, but the studs should really be installed with a press.
You can knock them out with a brass punch to avoid damaging the threads.

Would it be safe to run 2 inch spacers in front and 3 inch in the rear? I have 17x9s with 7 inches of BS. It was fine before my 5 inch TM but now I need some width.

As long as the spacers are used properly and maintain the proper torque...IMO, all you are doing is reducing the rear spacing.

So what you are really saying is...

Would it be safe to run wheels with five inches rear spacing on the front and four inches in the rear?

Phrased that way..if you have the room , I'd say yes.
