Gawtt me anuther suspenshun kweschun

Post by Walt »

Hey everybody. As always, I have questions :P Sorry for the bad spelling in the topic, but I just finished watching the Waterboy

I've searched the forums as best I can but some of the info I found was a bit vague in some areas, so I figured I'd ask my own questions and get direct answers.

Here we go.

I have a 2" BL on my CC, with 2" spacers in the rear, T-Bars cranked all the way (by the dealer, and it is warrantied), and shackles in the rear. I'm confident I can fit a decent 31" tire, without fender rubbing (frame rubbing doesn't matter to me), but yesterday I saw a Tacoma CC with 33's on it and it made me VERY jealous. Anyways, I want bigger tires!!!!!!

Now most of you are groaning and thinking "not another one of these", but my question is simple: Is there any way to get an additional 2-3" of suspension lift?

I've heard of a 2" suspension lift from TM (I think), but I've heard it's crap. And I don't want to go as far as a 5" or 6". I'm not necessarily wanting to fit 33's, but higher is always better, but not quite as high as 5" or 6" of lift.

Any ideas on getting an additional 2-3"? Without breaking the bank as well, but I'm open to all suggestions :D

Well darn :?

I would consider a 5 or 6 inch lift if my truck's previous owner had not already installed a body lift. Guess I'm outta luck for now until someone desides to make a 3" suspension lift for our trucks, which I don't see happening any time soon.

Atleast mypush bar will ship from WAAG on the 8th :D after a MONTH of waiting :P

I ordered the bar Conman posted about from latruck.com, and waited, and waited. No one would return my calls for a month (Ordered it August 4th), and yesterday I got a call from WAAG saying they were out and were custom making me one and it would ship the 8th. Now to pick lights.....

If anyone is interested, I found a store on Ebay that sells stainless rocker panel kits for our trucks. The pieces are 4.5 inches wide. I think the whole kit is like $50. I wouldn't mind getting one, but I'm still trying to figure out a way to get/make a rocker kit in black, or either have the lower half of my truck painted black. :D

put the TM5" on...1" of the 5" is from a tbar crank. then lower your tbars back to stock....and then you will have a 4" lift and with the BL, you will have plenty of room for 31's with aftermarket rims even

What's the retail on that kit? Also, is it the one that requires alot of vehicle modifications?

EDIT: I like to do things myself, but I think the TM lift is a bit out of my league because of the cutting and welding involved. Do you know if the new SL kit will be any easier?
