Gap Guard Part #

I need gap guards for my crew, but I want to make sure that I'm getting the right part # from Performance Accessories. The part #on their site is 6527. Is this the correct part#? Is this the best place to get gap guards? Thanks, Steve

It's the only place that makes gap guards as far as I know...unless you can find some rubber sheeting and make them yourself. Making them yourself is definitely cheaper.

I have to agree! Mello's was the fourth set that I have done.

I went to the local tractor supply store and got some rubber strips about 1 foot wide that were made for bailers. They worked perfect just cut to fit and use some self tapping screws. This kind of rubber has alot of reinforcement in it too so they are pretty stiff.

Well i have a blazer, so it doesnt matter too much.

Yes they would go through but you just have to find a spot at the bottom where there is a flange of metal and nothing behind it.

Yep, They go through the pinch weld lip at the bottom edge of the wheel tub. They do not extend inside the bed.
