3" Body Lift
I cannot find any 3" Body Lifts for my truck. Has anyone tried making their own 3" Body Lift? What is the reason they don't make a 3" lift? Would you have to put an extension on the steering column? Just wondering if anyone has tried or found out why there isn't one.

We had/have one member who did install a 3" kit (for a different year?)
I think you might run into a couple problems though.
Steering is one- the joints may bind, although that could be solved by lowering the column.
Lines- Brake lines, Battery cables, Front axle actuator, Trans cooler, etc. all may hinder installation of the 3" or cause extra work to relocate/extend.
Raising bumpers- I am not aware of relocation brackets for the 3" kit.
Of course there may be other reasons that a 3" kit was not made (oil filter relocation, front shield exposed, etc.) either due to problems with installation or appearance.

ya i considered makeing a 3" but there are too many variables and i didnt feel like going down that road.
i would put the 2" on and then you can inspect all the areas that need to be modified just for the 2"...then, consider whether or not you want to stick some 1" hockey pucks in there
