AALs?
After looking around i found a set at summit, but im just wondering, how much lift do they give? I hear 2"s, but dont want any more then 1.5", so is that 2" when they are brand new or after then work in?
also on http://store.summitracing.com/default.a ... &x=15&y=13 there are 2 differnt sets, a $45 and a $64 any one know the difference?

I considered a short AAL from Summit but instead opted for the 3 leaf kit from Boise Spring Works, thanks to Brule for being the guinea pig on this one .
I haven't installed them yet, to cold to be lying on the garage floor this time of year. As soon as warm weather returns I will get them in. I expect to get about 1.5 inches of lift.

Not adjustable, and no link, other than where I have discussed on here. TM's web site sucks as far as having useful information.
They are 24" long, 2-1/4" wide, with the center pin hole at the leaf midpoint. They are about 3/8" to 1/2" thick at the middle, and taper to about 3/16" at the ends.
What rear springs are you running?

They are 3 deeper then stock, but im kinda lost now. Mike says the AAL is 2 1/4" wide, so im guesing the leafs are too. My leafs are 2.5, but i know they are stock width because my daystars were almost too wide. Anyone got any Ideas?? my rear block is 4.25/4.5"s. The next size sufer lifts said they make is a 5.25/5.5". Truckin makes a 5" which would be perfect. But I dont trust thema2b wrote:warn....i am assuming you have custom lifted springs...if so, regular AAL's may not do the trick...

Nope. My stock leafs are 2.5". The TM AAL is 2.25". I'm going to pull my TM's off. Maybe this weekend, depending on whether my deal on a CJ frame falls through or not. You can try them if you want to, and see what they do for you.Warnoffroad wrote:They are 3 deeper then stock, but im kinda lost now. Mike says the AAL is 2 1/4" wide, so im guesing the leafs are too. You would gain the thickness of the AAL as a minimum, even if it did not change your spring arch.

You probably don't remember the Boise Spring Works thread, but I explained why most add-a-leafs are only 2.25". It is because that way they can use them on more applications. The imports use a 2.25" spring pack, so we have to suffice with the narrower spring since they do not want to build the 2.5" springs for a limited market.Mike H. wrote:...My stock leafs are 2.5".
