New tires
What is the biggest tire I can safely mount on the stock rims without modifying anything else on the truck?.....The factory tires need to be replaced and I want something better than the Goodyear Wranglers that seem to be on every other S-10 I see.....thanks for your advice.....

I'd say the optional offroad tire size - 235/75-15 (29" dia.)

I know a crew owner on the list here is stuffing 31's on his at stock height, but his do rub at times -- you can see Jay's pics here:

P.S. -- this topic has been discussed into the ground on every s-10 web forum on the planet.
You might be able to get away with 30's, and add Daystar shackles, and turn your torsions up a few turns and be ok. Ok is a relative term, but if you want to stay as close to stock with your truck -- shackles are an easy mod, and torsion bar adjustments requires nothing but a socketwrench and a jack.

Is it rubbing on frame or body? I know you have pretty wide spacers front and rear is why I ask.
I put a 31 on my truck and under normal driving I found that it only rubs on the front anti-roll bar.
I'm planning on putting 31's on mine, and then eventually lifting it with the TM and leaving the BL on -- do you think the 31's would look fine with the bodylift on top of the Trailmaster? I could always pull my Daystars off and trun my torsions back down some when that time comes.

My 30's rubbed on the top of the front fender lip when flexing when they were on the stock tires at stock height. Never rubbed on the frame though as far as I could tell.

Right now, mine just barely brush the insides of the rear fender edges on the bottom. And the front tires will rub rarely on the rear of the front fender edge on the bottom of it and full compression.adrenalnjunky wrote:Is it rubbing on frame or body?
