question on oil pressure
What is the normal operating specs for oil pressure? My crew cab is running about 60-65 when it is cold and doesn't drop much when it warms up. My old S-10 with the 4.3L would run this high when cold but once it got going it settled around 40. What's normal?
I don't know what the specs are but mine at normal operating temp is 25 at idle 45 at 2000. I don't put much faith in electronic gauges though. I am running 5-30 Mobile One for one oil change interval in the summer I ran 10-40 oil pressure was higher but I decided to go back to the recommended viscosity.
Best Regards, Jim
