lower ball joints

I was working on the lift kit to day and noticed the i could turn the studs on the lower ball joints????????? Is this ok :cry:
2001 cc 2" pa body lift traded
2004 cc zr5 2" pa body lift 6" super lift 2" rear shackle and tb crank traded for a v-max Silverado
2006 V-max cc
2001 ex cab 4x4 ls work truck rufff country 2" lift sold

Do you mean the "stud" is loose in the spindle? Like the nut is not tight enough? If that is the case , then no... there is a problem.

If you mean the ball on the end of the stud turns, that can be normal as long as it is not loose. They need to be inspected while the weight is on them, so unless you see obvious damage, check them after reassembly.

Well those are tapered and supposed to tighten up in the spindles. As long as there is not too much wear, and they are still round you should be able to tighten them up, as long as the stud doesn't pull through so far that the nut runs out of threads before it tightens up.

If the later is the case you will need either new spindles , ball joints or both.
