Clutch/Pressure plate
Recently while driving my 95 sonoma the clutch seems to 'stick' even though my foot is not on the clutch. After I shift the release the clutch I give it gas and it revs to about 4k the it 'unsticks' and goes back to normal. Has anyone else notice this happen? Do clutches get sticky? My dad said it might be the pressure plate. I don't want to take it into the shop if I am able to fix it myself. Thanks for any advice.
well considering all crew cabs are automatics, i dont know much about it. i have had 2 other standard chevy's and never expierienced that. some of the guys on here might know though, good luck

I'd say it is time to replace the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing.
I had a similar problem in my old S-10. The clutch dampening springs in the clutch disk were worn after being abused by my Powertrax lockright locker, it finally got bad enough one of them fell out and locked the clutch to where it would not release. JMO

More than likely youll have to replace it. I never had a problem in my 99 S10 and I dogged on it bad, really bad, but I got rid of it for my crew cab.
I had some clutch problems in the past though. I had an old Ranger with a snow plow on the front and my brother was plowing in 4HI and smoked it. The mechanic pulled it out and it was about as thick as paper, so I had him put a kevlar clutch in. I aslo had some problems with a Honda, but there was a large bolt that I could turn and it would solve the problem for a while and then I had to crank on it some more.
Hopefully no more tranny problems with my Sonoma, but the local Chevy dealer ripped out my dads blazer tranny twice before 24,000 miles to replace one little gear (knock on wood)...
Good luck
