ticking and driving me crazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ticking and driving me crazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

alright, just noticed a ticking sound coming from under the hood , drivers side. :? :twisted: quiet at idle , and no ticking if i crank up the rpm's in park. here's were the problem is .....the faster i drive the the faster the ticking sound ..... any ideas ?????? THANKS

no idea but i just got a tickin sound from the pass side but only early in the mornin when the heats on and i no the nuts feeling i have pulled over and sat in the pass seat tryin to find it :evil:

A search may reveal a similar problem that I had as well as one other.

Try making sure that no cables {throttle} that enter the firewall are in contact with the PCV valve or PCV solenoid.
Seems like some of the noises they make can be transfered in this manner.

check the serpentine belt. the ticking will stop really soon when it snaps.

I had a similar prob. there is a coolant hose at the back of the engine and the clamp on mine was tapping aganst the fire wall. Pulled the hose away from the fire wall a little and that took care of it.

check and see if your mileage has changed, had the same problem and my odometer cable had broken
