Transmission don't want to shift

I was heading up the highway the other day I started to get on it a little and the tach was winding out and stuck at about 4,400rpm. It wouldn't go any higher and when I let off of it a little it didn't want to shift up. This happened several times during the course of about 150 miles. I stoped and checked the tranny fluid with it running in park and it wasn't low and still looked fairly clean. I went out wheelin for a couple of hours had no problems. It has happened once or twice since then (on the way home) but not near as much. I'm planning on taking it in this week to get looked at after I clean it up and repaint inside the fender wells where the tires rubbed the paint off. any one have any ideas as to what's up?

Not sure. I'm no tranny expert though. Best bet would be to take it to the dealer or a tranny shop.
