Crank Shaft position Sensor

Crank Shaft position Sensor
I unplugged the crank shaft position sensor while the ignition switch was on and now the truck won't start. When I unplugged it there was a funny noise that sounded a similar to the fuel pump. Help!

Re: Crank Shaft position Sensor
Changed the crank shaft position sensor and the truck started right up. Three times it started right up. Then this morning back to crank and no start. When I crank the engine the RPMs don't register on the gauges and the SES light is on.
Any Ideas?

Holy crap! Monday morning quarterbacking is easy but, didn't that sound/feel of plugging the connector back on set any alarms off to you? Those CP sensors are always a pain and always act like someone has turn the switch off when they fail when running.Cajun wrote:Turns out to be the crankshaft position sensor connector. $300 of dealer time and parts
