Remote Oil Lines

when i changed my oil Sunday i noticed the remote oil lines are startin to leak a bit. did anyone have to change these yet or know how hard they are to change?

New Oil Cooler Lines - Observation , Oil lines fixed today. , Oil lines to oil filter assembly leaking.

I've changed mine. They are very easy to change.

where should i get them from? i looked at the links that HenryJ posted but couldnt find a site to get them from.

Many aftermarket companies are offering them now. I can not attest to the quality as I have only used dealer parts on my truck.
I have used lines from NAPA on other makes without problems. Check around locally.

You are looking for OEM replacement parts.
If you are looking online try rockauto.com. I would want to see them first though. I'd be looking for a triple crimp line.

To characterize this job as "very easy" is in my opinion deceptive. I got about 3/4 of the way through it and was left with a vehicle that was NOT driveable. I had to reconnect original leaking parts and limp to a shop to have the install completed by a professional.

Maybe kwalsh and whomever deleted my previous post think this is a "very easy" job but I am clearly not as mechanically inclined as they are.

Were these lines changed in all the 02' and up models? I have the newer lines and sincerely doubt that my truck was brought in for ANY maintenance by its previous owner.

No problem, obviously it wasn't your fault. I just think it's important to note that this job requires a little more skill, patience, specialty tools, etc. than what I consider "very easy". I wouldn't encourage an amateur to tackle this in the driveway if they need the truck to get to work in the morning is all.
