Vent tube on top of transmission?

Post by quickbiker »

There is a small metal tube on the top of the 4L60E transmission. I just am trying to verify this is only for venting. Anyone know?

I got my rebuilt trans in, and it does not shift at WOT, it does kinda shift back and forth at close to idle, and as soon as I give it some gas, it goes straight to 1st gear. Ugh.

That should be a vent.

Make sure your VSS is connected for it to shift properly.

Now a code got set. Says p0757, Shift Solenoid B circuit stuck on. That sucks, I wonder if the gusy didn't connect it up or somthing. Aarrrgghhh.

I really don't feel like dropping the pan on a newly rebuilt trans.
