I have experienced similar creaking in the area you describe and attribute it to the lack of a grease-able torsion bar socket. As far as I know, there's no grease fitting. I've tried squishing in as much grease as I can through the exposed end with my finger and also tried spraying aerosol lithium grease up in there. both have worked but very short term. I'm not sure there's any "cure" for this.

Try lubing all of the door hinge pins and put some Armor All or dielectric grease on all of the door weatherstripping.

I would also check the body mount bolts on that side to make sure they are tight.

If none of this works, let us know and we will try something else.

Mine does the same thing, it's the door hinges on mine. Check your bushings to see if they're shot.

About the only thing that I can think of that it is good for is removing road tar but, there are better products out there

For the door hinges I would use white lithium grease. GM recommends lubing the door hinges, hood latch, and tailgate hinges, once a year. I know my hinges creaked alot before the pins went bad.

As for lubing the weatherstripping, I would use 3M sprayable silicone (they sell it at NAPA) or some type of silicone. Tire shine is not made for that type of rubber.

Actually GM Superlube is recommended and I like it too.
