snorklin tubes and vents

Post by ldge »

I was looking on the internet at stuff and it said when u go though deep water you should re route the axle vent tubes to a higher spot and seal the dipstick and distributor caps and some other things. I did that stuff to my ATV when i had it but not to my truck. Did any of yall do stuff like this to your truck. I like to go though mud and water, but not deep water, should i still seal everything

The rear axle already has a snorkel on the vent that attaches to the bottom of the bed. I believe the tranny has the same type of setup...I may be wrong though. It might sit high enough at the top where the vent would be that it doesn't really need one. If you're in water deep enough to enter your dipstick opening, you better have a snorkel for yourself too. :)

I've been in water deeper than this...
