tape player to cd player RCa mod???

i have a 2002 sonoma crew with stock cd in dash and lower tape player. I have since removed the tape player in favor of a filler piece and installed a Xm radio (delphi mifi) in its place , any electrical experts can tell me how to somehow convert the wiring normally from the tape to the cd head unit, to being able to send a audio signal from the xm radio to the cd head unit, allowing the xm to be engaged when you push radio or aux function on the cd unit, in other words any way to take the wiring on the back of the tape player and convert the audio lines to rca's ? help me please !
