See the other thread for more info. According to the Service Manual this is another temp sensor pigtail. Maybe a part of climate control harness for a bravada? The pigtail does not fit in to the current temp sensor in our trucks.

Temp sensor for climate control connects to the C209 connector and is part of the upper harness installed with the trip computer. I installed that temp sensor in mine.

I saw that also. So the system is not one that uses both an internal an external sensor setup then? I have seen cars that will use both, trying to figure out why the heck they would have two temp sensors in the front grille.

I still think it is the auto dimming headlamp sensor (euro spec)

I dunno, i cant find that in the book under the domestic stuff. The C106( Forward Lamp Harness to Body Harness) connector lists:HenryJ wrote:I still think it is the auto dimming headlamp sensor (euro spec)
A Outside Air temp sensor signal
B Ground
C Outside air temperature signal
D Low Reference
E Ground
F Not used
It says this is for utilities with OHC except envoy. The envoy model has a different plug and contains a headlamp supply voltage and an extra pin. The Export plug has all the same stuff as the other two, with an even different plug but instead of headlamp supply voltage it has headlamp leveling motor supply voltage. All 3 units list the same color codes for the two diff temp sensor leads. If in my digging I find anything related to auto dimming headlamps I will let you know. For now the only thing I have found is auto leveling for export. Something my VW does.
