I did do mine. I tapped a screwdriver in between the race and axle tube to deform them as they have a thin wall and then simply pulled them out using that same screwdriver as they were now loose. The new ones I tapped in with a large socket and hammer.

They really can seize up quite easily. I have had rear pistons seize on both sides. One was a recent rebuild and was replaced for nothing. While doing axle seals, toss in some bearings while you're there. Its already apart and you're at them, might as well change them to save time later as they are ...

Yes the caliper slides into two pieces and should be lubed liberally. There is a little rubber boot that acts like an accordion attached to it. These dry and become stiff. There is a redesign of the Colorado coming up estimated for 2012 model year. Rumors of a diesel but nothing solid. It is slated to be on a new platform however, GMT-700. I'm holding out to see what this brings before I go to a Silverado.

Its possible but operated like that for a year on the new alt before problems showed up. Either way I got rid of the sense wire and it works flawlessly now.

3rd alt. 2 remans and 1 brandy new all with the same problem until I got rid of the sense wire. So two regulators were of the same design, the brand new alt had a "higher quality" regulator.

It was correct. Worked flawlessly with the stock alt. The voltage regulator would work but only when the sense wire was removed. Otherwise the voltage would jump around, either no output at all or too high an output.

I had the sense wire with the stock alt. I had to remove it when I went to the AD244 as it was blowing voltage regulators within the alt. Not sure why. As well as voltage would low and spike. Replaced last spring, now they have approximately 11k miles on them and are in need of replacement again. Stock lasted 68k, whats with the short life span of aftermarket? Is there another problem causing them to fail prematurely?

I did end up using a drill press to get the bolt out of the yolk. I then tapped it out to 3/8. I followed up with all the holes and did them all out to 3/8 so they would be even. Since the yolk is now course thread, I thought lock washers would be a smart choice. Axle is about ready to go now. Some ...

I used a self tapping screw from the bottom wheel well side of the flare up. Not the prettiest but holds well and was a fast easy fix that can always be replaced. I'm not shy about drilling holes. Works, just an idea.

Found an axle out of a 2003 Zr2 with 103k on it. Higher mileage but they want it gone for $75. At that cost its doable and I'll have an axle waiting for when the time is right!

We only have about a foot now, still falling heavily. Most places around are out of power, I'm in a good place and it only flickered once. Good luck as it is heavy snow. Doesn't seem to be sticking to the roads too bad yet. Which is good since the plows are all off the trucks.

I do believe there is a fuse that would take care of that. I changed my BCM and that was a side effect. The airbag light will illuminate and they would not deploy. Check again for a fuse. I do not recall which it would be.

It is common for the double crimp lines to leak and a different design was put out. Search for that to find links and whatnot. Not sure if thats the location you're talking about or not.

Contactor replaced. Winch motor checked okay. Switch checked okay. Turned out to be a melted wire in a spot very hard to find and hardly noticeable. Repaired and back up and running!

PCV valves can be cleaned so they move freely if it is sticking, they also run about $3.99 or so at most auto parts stores. Your choice.

Its on a Honda Foreman ATV. 3k lb Warn winch. The winch goes in fine but as soon as the out button is pressed, it pops a fuse (15amp). My dad suggested there could be moisture in the winch and to run it in, freespool out, then run in again and get it warmed up to see if that helps. I didn't think it...

I have done a TB crank in the front for lift. Mainly it hits snowbanks... You can't always make it over them at slow speeds :lol: But at any rate, That one in the middle Javero is the same style bumper as mine. Not great but not too bad I guess. I know a few people that have these. I haven't heard any complaints and they do seem to be similar to the BFGs. If the tread compound is very similar I would imagine they would be a good cost replacement.

Wow, each does have its own fuse. I popped the panel in cab and under hood. Under hood is the location! I didn't think each would have its own fuse! After some trial and error due to poor labeling, I found it! Thanks guys!

Ahhh yes, you can sometimes hit the light and the bulb will function for a period of time, but eventually it will fail. I was just thinking fuses, but there wouldn't be a fuse for each side, front and rear, that doesn't make sense. The front works as does a trailer when thats hooked up.

There is a small amount of movement in the rear-end from side to side. I would not say more than stock but then again I cannot compare as I installed the gas tank skid plate after the shackles. My drive shaft can rub on the skid plate. If you don't have that or don't plan to add it, I wouldn't worry...

How bad did this rain effect you guys up in VT. We have lost most of our snow here in Lancaster. I know that the riding north of us toward the border is supposed to be OK still. The trails are down to brown now, unpacked still seems good just heavy.

Another note, the hardware is above and beyond heavy duty. I would not worry about this thing bending or breaking anytime soon. The bedrails would be the first things to buckle imo. I have seen plenty of weight on those before though, an example would be the Chevy long bed dually today with a traile...

4 holes drilled, nothing bad. The one without the toolbox may take less holes? Not sure. Installation however was easy, took about 1/2 an hour and that was getting it perfect and mounting the toolbox. There is a slight gap between the toolbox and the rack so the box is able to open. The box sits up ...

All I have invested in mine is a set of spacers. When mine goes, I have every intention to put a zr2 rear end in it. Why not go larger and stronger?
