just an update. I changed the flashers a few days after this post. My problem was fixed too.
Sure glad I didnt tear into my steering column and spend a bunch of money that didnt need to be spent.
Thanks rlrnr53.

Starting up this old thread since I searched and could not find a more specific answer to my problem. The right turn signal on my 02 CC flashes faster when the headlights are on. During the day, with the daytime running lights on, the turn signal is fine. Once I park it in the garage, or in the shad...

Locking Gas Fill Door.
Has anyone modded their CC to make the fuel door lock. Where you need to push or pull some type of release from inside the cab to open the fuel door. With the rising cost of gas, and the fact that my gas cap was oddly loose on my CC, (caused a SES light) I am thinking about alternatives to just the ...

I have read some of the other posts here. That was the main reason for my concern with the ride. I got the impression that the Bilsteins were geared toward the off road enthusiast. I do plan to keep the truck long term. I was leaning toward the Bilsteins from the beginning. Cost is not a major conce...

yeah, my right rear is leaking. Would it have been so hard for GM to put a better shock on their vehicle. I know automakers are trying to keep up by cutting costs. But, the way a cars now a days ride like crap after the first 5-10k You would think it would make a difference in customer loyalty when ...

Sorry to kinda change the topic. I am going to replace my shocks here in a few months. I still have the stock shocks on my 2002 CC with 28,000 miles. I have been reading about how everyone likes the bilstiens or ranchos. My question is this. My truck is used mostly for commuting and city driving. I ...

I have a great store about six blocks from my house, they used to be a mom and pop store for 25 years but got bought out by O'reilly's about 2 years ago. There is only 1 original guy still working there, plus a few minimum wage lacky's filling time until their next paycheck. A good auto shop/parts s...

thanks for the quick reply, I see by your suggestion that you dont hold much faith in local parts stores for their testing, I will make sure I take it to two places to make sure its bad. I did a preliminary search here looking for suggestions on shorts, but didnt find a whole lot dealing with my pro...

Bad Battery???/
My CC wouldnt start this morning. It have had a little cold spell (30 degrees) the battery doesnt seem to show that it takes a charge when I put the charger on it. When its running the Voltage on the dash is reading around 15 volts. I cleaned the battery terminals and checked voltage at the battery ...

Thanks for your help Border Man. But with all due respect, my original question was the dimensions of the stock radio, At first I was told that my truck cannot have a double din size opening because it was a 2002. After a few more posts, it was confirmed that I can, and I do, have a double din radio...

I did look on Crutchfield a few days ago, it lists the same Kenwood that SONOMACREW installed as compatible with the 02 CC. They also listed the depth at less than 5.5 inches. But Kenwoods web site lists the specs for head unit as being 6.5 inches. So, I dont know who to believe Crutchfield or Kenwo...

I read a thread that SONAMACREW started, where he installed a Kenwood double din touchscreen, he stated that it took an install kit, but other than that it went right in. I did a little research on the Kenwood unit he installed. I is 165mm deep (6.5 inches) I have found a few other double din touch ...

I think with a little more research I should be able to narrow down which units will fit. I was just hoping someone had pulled the stock head out and had it sitting on a shelf somewhere that they could get some measurements for me. From what I read in that other thread, I thought GM put the double d...

I suppose that anything is possible, but this truck is bone stock, with no other mods. I dont think that the previous owner would have done all those mods just to replace the radio with another factory GM radio. Wouldnt he also have to alter the center console under the dash to remove the cassette p...

then I have a double din in my 2002, because I have the one pictured on the right. It has both the cd and cassette in the head unit. Not the cassette mounted below the dash by the console. It still doesnt get me any closer to finding the depth of a stock head unit. I have been trying to find specs o...

Stock Radio Size
Does anyone know what size the factory stereo is in the CC's. I just purchased a 2002 w/ the CD/Cassette Double Din Unit. I was thinking about swapping it out for a DVD/GPS 7" touch screen unit. When I checked Crutchfields, it shows a limited # of head units that will fit. Crutchfield also listed a ...
