The only thing to be careful about with this style restriction gauge is they have a tendency to stick, so you need to push the reset button every now and then to reset it to see what the readings are. almost every piece of heavy equipment has these style of gauge and I have seen several come in for ...

I went and bought the largest roof top carrier I could fit in the bed and a mounting kit for it, then ran a steel cable though the mounts on the bottom so I could pad lock it to the bed. It work's perfect when we travel we can put everything in it and keep the truck cab roomy. Its easy to remove the...

Thats true about the front cover but I have seen some after market ones that have air louvers or air passages in them, ours don't but with only the front plate on air still moves around between the frame taking away heat. I was also wondering if there is room to install air ducts around the front co...

Cooling issues discussion-
Just a thought on this, but I was thinking that everyone that has cooling concerns also has a skid plate package on their crews. Last summer I was in stop and go traffic after exiting the highway with the air on and no problems, with air temp at 110 degrees and 65% humidity. Is it possible that with...

Noise under dash
This weekend we went on a drive and I kept hearing a clicking noise at times coming from under the drivers side dash, it sounds like when the daytime lights switch over to the headlights. It was loud enough to hear it on the highway six or seven times. Anyone else had this same noise?

The front steering and suspension has 11 grease points on it, When I do mine I find it is easier to remove the skid plate but you don't have to. Just look all around the front end for the little silver tips on the parts that move in the steering system. A couple of zerks on the steering linkage may ...

I dont know about this fix. When I was turning wrenches we had a street sweeper that had teflon blocks as chain guides & Tensioners and they wore fairly fast with daily use. any burrs on the chain and peices of teflon will end up in the oil pan  What do you do if the blade wears off? Maybe ...

my 2003 does the same thing, I just have to pull the lever on the pump handle to the first notch and listen for when the tank is almost full. Okay here is my question, Does the Mobil 1 Syn oil need friction modifier added to it or not. GM told me the new gear lube from them is full synthetic and you dont need to add anything. But they cant tell me if the additive is already in the synthetic oil or not. As HenryJ shows GM says thier oil is...

Phoenix car show
My Mom called this morning from Phoenix and said at the car show there this weekend they had a crewcab on display and they were checking it out since they have not seen mine before they went out to AZ. Dont know if it was a GMC or S-10. Its nice that they are displaying one at a large auto show.
