there is not a lot of side load on your studs. your center is sandwiched between the hub and the Nut. that what takes all of the weight.

are you buying the wheels new?? Cause i bought my wife a set of aluminum rims for her car, and it came with a spacer for the inside that was vehicle specific. the dealer said once the rims are torqued, its a pain in the ass to get the spacer out.

thats awesome. we did a cheap-o floor shifter swap on a buddies old ranger, we cheated like crazy.. we removed the column shifter rods and locks, but kept the column there. used a 3sp shifter from a cavelier i think. (his ranger has a 350 w/ 350 trans). your set up is 110% better then the one we did!!

dex cool was only a problem in the first few vehicles they used it in, they have fixed the head gasket problem, ive talked to more then a few GM techs, to ask about that as soon as my wife got her cobalt, i inquired about going green. then i called two more dealers and asked them as well.

then thats a pretty easy swap to do. depending on what engine you use, (EFI, carbed)..... it could be as simple as making new locator brackets for your engine mounts, and running a piggy back system for your engine.

for fog lights, you could make it so you only have to run 1 wire through the dash, wire your fog lights in parallel, and rob power for them under the hood, then just run your ground wire to a switch in the truck.
