Thank HJ, I did see the LMC shields in my catalog, but I think thats a little pricey. Would a steel oil pan be a doable option ? I'm thinking, no cracks from dents and maintaining max clearance. 8)

Ebay has a set of three shields, front with oil filter access door, middle or "out pan" :lol: shield, and transfercase shield, all Composite for $199. Main problem or two there off a ZR2 and the mounting brackets for the oil pan shield are NOT included. :shock: . What do ya think about that ? 8)

So far all I've found is on ebay. Carbon fiber, and I guess that style hangs down 2" further than without and that seems to defeat the purpose. I really don't want to put something on just to see if I can destroy it. :evil: 8)

Why could you not return the spacers to where you bought them ? I never heard of a no return policy on a part that " Does Not Fit ", and in this case they won't fit with the wheels you want to use. Send them back.

Hey HJ, You are totally right about pulling the gearbox, there ain't no way to get that pitman off other wise. Piece of cake with it out in front of you. Got the pit. and idler new ,and real nice and tight and smooth. Next adventure will be 4 ball joints and 4 tie ends. 8)

Lets see the finished product. I simply used the SKIDZ flare cut measurements and cut my wheel wells. Then I cut my ZR5 flares to match using the cut , lap , rivet method like the wheel wells. I had to cut my airdam 3/4" in at bottom and up 1 1/2" just a small corner cut and I'm clear. I was on 275/60/15 at the time. Now on 30/9.5 and still clear. When ever I clear a code via battery disco. I have an idle issue for a couple of good slow even throttle revs. I usually just ease off and drive it and it cures itself. 8)

Read the last paragraph of the description. It says the ballast is covered in epoxy and makes the metal case a "heat sink" ? They also say plastic cases suck. 8)

I was under the impression that colder air made better power. If I'm pulling air from above my hood its got to be colder than from under the hood. Much colder !! :!: 8)

OK !! I just meant I don't need to be lifted for taller tires, the clearance I have now is good, as long as I stay at a reasonable speed I can move through about any problem in the path. If not I take another route. 8)

My wheels set exactly the same on both sides in the front and in the rear. The only difference is the fronts set out 1 1/4" further than the rears since the front axle span is 2 1/2" wider than the rear axle span. No odd ball offset.The difference front to rear is stock from the factory on ALL CCs.
