Re: Stupid question...will non crew cab s10 wheels fit my zr
Great! I thought so, but with my luck it would have been totally wrong. Too bad the crew they had was so crunched, i would have liked to pick it and get some spare parts! Thanks for the quick reply. Like always, this forum is a life saver.

Stupid question...will non crew cab s10 wheels fit my zr5?
I recently put a body lift and 31X10.50 tires on my 2004 zr5, and I am needing a rim to use as a full size spare. I know that the backspacing is an issue on our trucks, but is it the same on the other s10 models? I checked my local junkyard and they told me that crew cabs coming through the yard wer...

Re: Need help raising stock ZR5 nerf bars
Thanks for the photos Fallvitals. It helps to bring it together in my mind. The emergency brake cable does look like a pain. Now I just need to find the time to do it! How hard was it to trim the bar mounts to fit around the body mount brackets?

Re: Need help raising stock ZR5 nerf bars
No rush on the pics. It is going to be a little while before I get to them anyhow. Too many things going on as always. I just need to get them done before bow season starts or they will be on hold until the begining of February! This is always a bad time of year for me, excited about bow seas...

Re: Need help raising stock ZR5 nerf bars
Thanks Fallvitals, I have been following your CC build from the start and you seem to know what you are doing. By the way, your truck looks great. I wish I could talk myself into cutting the fenders so that I could fit 33's, but I can't convince myself (or my wife). Pictures would be a big help if p...

Need help raising stock ZR5 nerf bars
I am just finishing up installing a 2" bl on my truck and am getting ready to lift the nerf bars. Any tips or pictures on the best way to do this? I have been searching, but everything I have found must be on the old site or too old because all I get are network errors. Any tips would be great, also...

Re: Goodyear Wrangler Authority at WalMart
 I was under the impression that I could get away with 31x10.50's without trimming. Maybe I would be better off with 30x9.50's instead. I don't wheel this truck, I just want it to look more like a truck. I call it my El Camino! I want a more aggressive tread for when I go hunting (I've got th...

Re: Goodyear Wrangler Authority at WalMart
Thanks for your thoughts on the tires, I can't imagine Goodyear putting their name on a substandard tire. After reading all of the various posts about tire fitment, I know in theory they should fit. I was just looking for a little extra assurance to make me feel all warm and fuzzy before I pulled th...

Goodyear Wrangler Authority at WalMart
I was at my local WalMart and they had a tire there that caught my eye. It was a Goodyear Wrangler Authority A/T. The tread design seems pretty aggressive for an A/T, and I also like the looks of the side lugs. The price point on them also grabbed me, they had 31x10.50x15 for $139. I did some search...

I finally got it out. I was going to remove the cross member until I realized that I would need to remove my passenger side step bar (ZR5) to get at the head of the bolt. I ended up taking the nuts off of the transmission mount and gently raising the transmission until I was able to get the pan out....

Transmission filter replacement problems
Stupid question, do you have to remove the transmission cross member to remove the pan and filter? I have every bolt out of the pan and cannot find a way to get it out past the cross member.

Boise Spring Works kit installed
I just got the BSW kit installed friday night and wow what a difference. I'm not sure if it is going to settle in any, but it raised the rear of the truck almost 4 inches! I had to do the t-bar crank on the front to try and help out. I was only able to get 1" higher with the t-bar bolts almost botto...

just let down your stock tailgate??? thats what I do to fit my z400 in the back  I really haven't tried yet, I was afraid of bending my tailgate. How close to the edge of the tailgate do your rear wheels sit. I checked the specs on both our quads and your wheelbase is 49.0" and mine is 50.0", ...

Tailgate mod to carry 4 wheeler
I am thinking about doing a mod to my tailgate that would allow me to carry my Suzuki Vinson 500 quad in the bed of my CC and need a few opinions. My idea is to get another tailgate and reinforce it and lengthen it. With the tailgate down, I will be adding about a foot to the length and will replace...

They were wrong. I think they were just feeding you a line of BS. It is likely that it was not changed at the first oil change as is required to remove assembly lubricants, but wrong fluid is not likely. Doesn't shock me that they handed me a line of BS. Not sure exactly what they really did then, ...

Wrong lube in rear diff from factory... What is up with that? What was in there Dextron II? I have the limited slip diff in it. When I would make a left or right turn from a stop, it would make the whole truck shudder. When I took it in, they said that it had the lube for an open diff, not a limite...

Thanks for all of the good ideas, my wife doesn't like the vent guards, :?: (if mama aint happy, nobodys happy) so I told her that the only other option was a rear sliding window :nana: . Thanks for the quick reply Kwalsh. I am almost to the point of putting in a rear sliding window to see if that helps my problem. It is bad enough that if I have the front windows down half way, they shake so badly that I am afraid they will shatter! Guess I will keep using the AC when its hot instea...

Cabin pressure with windows down
Hi all, I am new to this site, but I will say that I have learned alot about my CC since I joined. I have an 04 ZR5 stock with 24k miles on it. I did a search but didn't find any results for this question. When driving at anything above 35mph with any combination of windows down (drivers, drivers + ...
