Had my CC in the shop for a few adjustments and repairs this week. Told them about the hissing when my selector switch is in vent mode. Gave them a copy of the bulletin too. Sure enough, the switch was leaking and I had contamination up to HVAC controller. They replaced the switch, controller and cl...

Just another dumb question.....
But...why does the A/C compressor cycle on and off whenever the defrost setting is used? :?: I've been hearing a chirp noise every 20-30 seconds, so while my hood was up and my defroster was on, I noticed that whenever the Compressor clutch engaged or released, thats when I would hear the chirp. I'v...

I've found that the younger vets seem to like to poke around and do more diagnostics than the older vets. We had an older neighborhood vet we took our dogs to for years. Max, our 10 year old male shepherd was put down because after months of ear infections, antibiotics and earwashes, his ear canal h...

Flexible fender flares
I was just browsing JC Whitney online and ran across an add for Pacer Rubber flexy flares. Has anyone ever tried these or seen them up close and personal? They're easy to install, and look decent in the pics and are C-H-E-A-P! http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_product...

I was originally looking at the LUND cab fairings like the FASTBACK, but while taking my Grandson around for halloween, I actually saw one mounted on an Sierra, and I thought it looked cheap. They know now, but thats why they're willing to work with us. No extra charge for customs, we'll probably just have to drill and bolt them. I think they're looking for more exposure. I've been using ICE for a couple of months because, I too, have no summer shade at my house. I think it works great! I've been looking there, but with no luck. Do you remember the sellers name or store? I did find a place called TFP, Inc. and found some great looking stuff, but I'll bet it's pricy. Check it out:

Another source for chrome accents...
After some more surfing on the WWW (on company time  ), I went to the SEMA website. I found a company TFP. inc., that has many chrome accessories for S10's. From door and tailgate handles, to moldings, mirror covers, grills, and fender trim. This is the first place I've come across that has han...

That guy is checking with his engineer to see exactly how much rail space is needed. The standard Sport bar I think is mounted in the stake pockets of trucks that have them, since they want the measurements (size and location). Without the pockets, the rails will have to be drilled and bolted. I ask...

Rhino "Thunder " Sport bar
I'm always on the lookout for new mods, so while surfing the great WWW, I came across this Sport Bar, so I thought I'd check it out. All the online sites and catalogs show them only available for full size trucks. I don't know if anyone had any interest in the Rhino Sports bars for their truck beds,...

Getting my mods shopping list together, and I need some help
I've been wracking my brains :?: ever since I got my CC last summer about how I want to modify it. While I was browsing the internet (on company time of coarse! ) I ran across a picture of an all white Escalade that really caught my eye  . So based on this picture (in a mini-truck way), ...

Wiring question
I just mounted my new fog lites, now it's time to wire them up. My question is "where is the best place to run three wires thru my firewall, without having to dismantle half my dash"? I'm 50 yrs old now, and don't quite bend or fit into places like I used to. Thanks
