DONE!
Took my father in law and I about 2 hours to do it. He had the vacum pump and had a friend who had a tank for the freon. blowing nice and cold air now.
Really was not that bad of a job. 1 more repair learned.

A/C compreesor clutch
Driving home form the inlaws tonight, the A/C compressor started making a grinding sound. It quits when I turn the air off. I'm hoping it's just the clutch and not the entire compressor.
Question is: Is the clutch easy to replace? Any special tools needed?

Thanks for the feedback. One more question on this, do you think a faulty TPS could cause this problem. (My check engine light is on, but its that annoying P410 or 401 code.)
The idle is fine and I have not had a chance to get with the dad in law to use his scanner, but what do ya think?

Going to try the filter change this weekend. Trans was rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago. $1,900. If that does not help, going to the shop. AGAIN.............Guess that is expected for 150,000 miles.

Don't risk buying one from NAPA. Their pumps are poor. Junk may be more appropriate. Buy Genuine AC Delco. Check Rockauto for good pricing. What would be leaking on the passenger side, just under the seat? Noticed a wet area on the torsion bar when I was changing oil.
Short on time and have not had time to look.
Brake lines? I know the fuel line runs down the driver side, but does the return line run down the pass. side?
