Now if they went back to putting STOCK CARS out there and seing what happens then I would be more interested. Exactly. I'm not saying go way back in the day to drive your regular street car, but actually run a hopped up "Stock Car"-Like during Richard Petty's time. The cars running today on the tra...

Is this Jet Perf. 180° stat so great, that I should just go & order one? :? As I stated, I had never had a problem except for low coolant two times in 5yrs. I found that the Mr. Gasket thermostat on Advance Auto's website is available in both 160° and 180°, but unsure if it will fit our truc...

Even though I have enough parts laying at my house that still need to be put on the truck, I have a ???? :?: I was planning to do the whole oil change, (oil, filter, clean the K&N/MAF, lube, change out frozen brake caliper slide pins) this weekend while I'm home. And while I was at those items, I wa...

rlrnr53-You are correct in that you can't have 100 mph tape to simply cover holes in the body, but as 04crewvt stated making a form and filling it with foam, which is what I have seen some people do here in WV. Just make the form, fill it with something like the expandable insulating foam, let stand...

Glad you got it fixed. :thumb: definitley keep the JB WEld on hand. I keep one in the truck and one in the house tool kit. I'm in the Hazardous Waste field. I use to have to use the JB about every month or so to fix leaky drums out on the job sites when I use to do pick ups. I also used it to fix a ...

The first mod I did was the Line-X in the bed, and had always thought about doing the rockers since doing the bed. It should blend in pretty nice since the truck is black. Depending on how the new wheels fit once I get them, I may have to be the guinea pig. :( Plus, I had also been looking for the M...

I think they were both the top pins, but not exactly sure now that I think about it, as I was slightly distracted from time to time. Those pins are a PITB. I just replaced the pads at all four corners with the life time replacement ceramic pads from Autozone. Lubed all pins except the two that were stuck on the rear. One on each rear. I couldn't budge them. So I'll have my buddy, the dealership's finance manager, pick up my truck...

I'll guess around $1750. My first dent was dropping my cousin's Polaris 500 4x4 quad on my tailgate with me still trying to ride it into the bed. The hooks gave out on the tailgate ramp, while I was trying to get the front wheels up on the fender wells in the bed, causing the ramp to fly out from un...

Hold off on the step/nerf bars until you make up your mind on a BL. You don't want to raise them if, you do decide on a BL. Why not? :? I see your point f9k9, but I might as well go ahead and install the step bars. It could be a month or it could be a year or so before I actually get around to doin...

EWWW!!!! EWWW!!!! EWWW!!!! A great tip I got for cleaning the carpet. Use a stiff bristled brush, (one like you use to clean your tires), on the carpet while you shop-vac up all the dirt/rocks. Get all the big stuff first with the shop vac. Then go back over the carpet with the brush and shop vac. I...

If you really want you truck to shine. Look into getting some Detailing Clay. Several companies make a kit. Just use after you wash your truck and before you wax. I've used it, and love it. http://www.automagic.biz/specialt.htm It pulls all the paint contaminates off the paint before you wax. And it...

I beg to differ with you about the Sportster remark for $8k. You can have a fantastic one of a kind Sportster for ~$8K. I got a 2000 Sportster XLH-Bought the 883, ($6,200 new), then the 1200+cc engine upgrade for ~$800, and I currently have lowering shocks, Bassani chopper exhaust, and custom intake...

Killian96ss, I just wanted to thank you for all of the helpful tips on the brake topic(s). So, when I did my TB crank, I was only able to crank up my passenger side up by 4 & 1/2 turns. On the driver side, I would have been able to go up a total of 9 turns, although I only did the 4.5 turns. While looking at the passenger side in frustration, I noticed the second lower indentation on the ...

Yeah, Killian96SS, I've loved it from day 1. As for the Mojave's-I have the brake dust issue on the DS wheel occuring-there are too many small simulated screw heads to clean around-Otherwise they would be in the mix of debated wheels as well. Actually, Your truck is the kind of look I'm going toward...

Nope, Don't mind the polishing. There will be no black wheels for me>Black truck+black tonneau+black windows+black tires+black etc=too black. I like a little bling here and there. Not exactly sure which wheel to go with as I'm also debating between the Centerline Big Sur or Malibu or Terminator wheel.

However, today I decided to join the site,...
