I don't think any type of paint should be on the mating surface where the wheel bolts on. As the surface fails the wheel will come loose.

Mine is super tight no rattles, I got rid of that junky console and upgraded a bit. The stock console is poorly fastend. I think the data link interfaces with the receiver for which fob is used.
Does alot of good having the switch light up where you can't see it while driving. I've bumped the thing in the summer and roasted my butt. the switches should be on the dash or console for the seat heaters.

My Bravada doesn't have the memory, I don't know why it has all the other equipment listed in the package that memory goes with. I was thinking of adding the memory feature to it but that data wire may not be there.

agreed. they are indeed a pain. and once you start trying to remove it, the damage is done, and you are then committed to replacing it. transmission shops probably have a special tool just for this... i too have left some in place, and used them again. and like you said, other seals are just as old...

these seals have a steel inner shell, kinda similar to a wheel bearing or axle shaft seal, and have a very tight fit to the case. it often takes a good sized screw driver, or awl to pry them out. you just have to careful not to damage the aluminum bore they fit into, or you may have air getting suc...
