That's a pretty sweet setup. I really wish we had a rig that would allow us to wander off without a reservation. Mrs barch however, refuses to go so primitive. I've been able to convince her that we don't "need" cable tv (although I have caught her shopping for satellite dishes) but she's got her he...

Next is to go to the 145 amp DR44G alternator. the 105amp has plastic bushings supporting the bearing. A problem that will surface I was just looking under the hood for the trailer relay and noticed "DR44G" alternator although the RPO says 105 amp. Maybe that plastic bushing already failed and some...

They are much the same. The Avalanche (Suburban, Tahoe) ride a little smoother with the rear coil suspension. Airbags are easier to install too. I'm hoping the leaf springs will eliminate the need for airbags. Maybe helper springs instead if I get too much sag with the trailer attached. 2004-2006 h...

Re: 2002 CREW CAB For parts, everything must go. FULLY LOADE
The power window/door lock switches are functional, but a bit worn out. Some of them are loose etc. I may have to hold onto this truck for a little while longer though a few unfortunate events happened and I need to drive a slower vehicle for a while haha. I'm not in any hurry. I've got plenty of o...

Re: 2002 CREW CAB For parts, everything must go. FULLY LOADE
Interior is MINT with only minor wear and tear, other than the driver side door panel... How bad is that panel? Might you have the power window/door lock switches intact? I haven't gotten into mine yet but there's definitely something amiss and I would be very happy to have a replacement standing b...

Re: Program remote for multiple vehicles
It occurred to me this morning that my Impala has remote ignition and my CC does not. I guess I oughta use the Impala remote for both that way I can start 'em both from inside the house.

HA HA HA...
that's awesome. I think the panic alarm shuts off on it's own after a couple minutes assuming you eventually stop pressing the button. or, when the battery finally gives out.

Re: Drivers window stops working randomly
I've been having trouble like this for quite a while but since I don't use the CC as daily driver, I've been ignoring it. The recent snow-pocolypse has forced me to drive the CC a lot more than usual. Open driver's window at highway speed in snow storm is rather unpleasant to say the least. It looks...

Re: Program remote for multiple vehicles
That's not a bad idea at all. I suspect I could probably do the same with my CC & my Impala. That'd save me the trouble of replacing the battery in the CC remote. Although, I wonder if I'd be able to lock the CC as I drive away in the Impala

Re: Paint Issue on an 8 Year Old Rig?
I'm no expert but that looks more like a defect under the paint than contamination over it. On the bright side it draws your eye away from the color mismatch on the hood.

ill just flush it and add the green stuff from my old truck. just to do it anny way so there is no dout Forgive me but your post seems rather casual and this situation requires a bit more urgency in my opinion. If that is in fact Dexcool (and it sure looks like it is), make sure you flush it good. ...

Re: is this a good one
I can't speak to the quality of the roof rack but, I bought some tie down straps and one of them roof top luggage bag things from "discountramps" last fall. I had no trouble with them or the items I purchased.

Re: Wider wheels hitting fenders...
Turn the wheel inside out and you'll gain an inch of backspace. It won't be perfect but it'll be better than you've got now and maybe get you by until you figure out a better solution. Good Luck.
