speed kills... gas mileage, that is.
Anytime I tow, even if its just my 14' jon boat, I ride the throttle and let the truck pick up speed down hill and slow it down up hill -- which is just keeping the rpms below 2000 like previously stateed.

the best thing to do is to snatch up a set of Skidz cut outs ... there wasn't as much work as I had expected for the install and it makes a HUGE difference as far as opening up the wheel well!

I'm almost there! My body lift was finished a while back, and today my dad and I installed the flares. All I'm waiting on now are wheels to mount some tires on! ... looks kinda funny with the 30x9.5s on the N90s with no spacers... hopefully the wheels will arrive soon!

I think I found the problem...

The ground cable to the battery was loose, possibly from the body lift... tightened it back down and so far, so good.

i don't think it had anything to do with the gas, i had 1/2 tank

it only shut off when i shifted out of park and into gear....

did you measure them top to bottome or right to left? the weight of the truck could have the top to bottom measurement compressed if the air pressure is low. i could be completely wrong though...

Its close to $2,000 without tires. That price is exactly why I have opted to go with the body lift, skidz cut-outs, and rear springs... its almost half the total of the SL. AND... you can run almost the same size tires!

door hinge pin

Lately my door has been making a creaking noise everytime I open it. I figured something just needed some lube, but after furthe inspection the bushing is gone one the upper hinge pin. Does anyone know how hard it might be to replace one, or will I have to take it to the dealer?

I've got 30x9.5 BFG ATs with just a tbar crank. Rubbing was insignificant and they diefinately fill out the wheel well to give it a beefier look.

That is definately a badass ride. I like the revised front fascia, but the lights would look better without the bar in the middle.

I wouldn't know what to do with that much power in an off-road vehicle.... but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to get into trouble, and even easier to pull out of it.

HJ, is your truck level, front to rear? Or is the rear a little higher because of the extra leaf springs? I'd like to keep my truck as level as possible when everything is said and done, and still fit the larger tires under it. If your rear end is much higher, are the extra leafs necessary for tire ...

I've actually seen that done with a Ford minivan, early 90s model, i think -- the ones that look like dustbusters. It still had the sliding rear doors and bed rails.

yes, the ground is fine....

of couse, i wasn't thinking when i checked the fuses and turns out i looked at the wrong one....

fuse was bad. just replaced it. all is good again.
