Thanks for the reply. I just read on another forum that some "play" in the driveshaft is normal. When I first seen this "play" kinda freaked me out. The seal must have just started leaking so maybe I don't have as much damage as I think I have.

T-Case Problem

I was changing the oil in my Zr2 Blazer and noticed some fluid leaking from between where the front driveshaft is and the transfer case. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the front driveshaft is way loose! Does anyone have a exploded view of a typical T-Case from a 98 Blazer ZR2 with a 5-speed?...

I just got my wife a Vivtar 8300s, it's an 8 megapixel. It runs about $300. $300 is very cheap for an 8 megapixel camera. What do you guys think about this one? Sony Cyber Shot DSC-H1 http://www.sonystyle.com/intershoproot/eCS/Store/en/imagesProducts/180x180/DSCH1.jpg I can get one for $400...

PDL Options?

Is there any way to change how my power door locks function? When I put the tranny in drive, the drivers side door locks. When I put the tranny in park, only the driver side door unlocks. I would like to change it to unlocking all doors when put into park. Is this possible?

Gear Ratio Calculations

In case you guys missed it, on Superlifts Offroad Adventures, during the tips section of the show, the host gave a simple equation for calculating RPM's with any given tire size. So I tried it out with my CC, I already knew from the code in the glove box that I have a 3.42 gear ratio. I didn't reall...

2001 had quite a few things standard. As the years went by things started becoming optional. Rear slider , power ports , lighted vanity mirrors, bed liner, under hood light and full size spare are just a few of the differences. Don't waste too much time looking for stock rear cup holders. They didn...

I don't have the lighted vanity mirrors either, not that I really need them anyway, also the tray inside the console is missing too. I know these are just little things, but it is frustrating.

My ZR5

Don't get me wrong, I love my truck!! But evidently the good folks at GM left some parts off my truck. I'm missing the plastic trim piece that covers the frame rails for the seats. I'm wanting to do the "hot butt" mod and have no where to mount the controls. I'm also missing the extra power outlets ...

While I have not experienced a Fram filter failure, I will not be using them again in the future. I used the AC Delco PF52 this time but next I would like to try the K&N as I did not realize they made oil filters. On a side note, when I pulled the drain plug I noticed some metal shavings the magnet ...

Since you mentioned 5W30 motor oil, I know that is the recommended oil to use, what is the deal with the various weight motor oils? I usually run 10W40 in the winter months and 20W50 in the summer months. I seem to remember someone saying something about lighter weights in the winter and heavier wei...

Full Synthetic Oil?

At what mileage should I switch a full synthetic motor oil? My ZR5 has less than 20k and I was wondering if it's too early to switch to that type of oil.

 What made you choose the S-10 over the Colorado? A couple of reasons, first, the engine. I want to see how reliable this engine proves to be. C'mon let's face it Chevy dropped the ball on this one, a optional small V8 should be in this trucks lineup. Second, the interior is pretty cheap look...

Hey Ya'll

I picked up my CC a couple weeks ago and have already got the MOD Virus thanks to you guys and this site. I had my pick of a 04 Colorado CC or the 04 CC S-10 ZR5 now sitting in my driveway. I've been lurking and learning on this site for a about a month now and I can tell there is some great knowled...
