I suspect the overload is more than that, that was just the load in the bed. The true weight would have to take into account the drivers weight as well as how much gas was in the tank, any add ons to the truck and any gear stored in the vehicle as well.

Nope that was the price to just turn the rotors not to replace them and the brake pads are still in spec so they were not replacing them either. Unfortunately they will not cover under warranty. Just something they don't want to admit is a problem I guess. I will have to decide on turning these down...

Battery is in. My factory battery never showed more than 14 on the gauge when running this new battery shows closer to 16 when running. I had been noticing the motor running a bit rough and it felt like is was lugging I wonder if this may have been the cause?

I went out today to install my Optima battery and found coolant leaking from the housing. It appears to have just started not long ago as the level in the reserve tank is still ok. Guess it's off to the dealer before the warranty runs out.

Well after 4 days of below 0 (with wind chill in excess of 25 below) my factory battery started giving me a warning that it was done for. Before it could leave me stranded I went to the parts store this morning and picked up an Optima Red Top for $149. I will pop it in tomorrow.

No photos I found. best advice is to take one plate at a time under the truck with you along with the hardware, as soon as you find the right spot for it you will see where the mounting bolts need to go. I had the same problem with the diagram and still managed in less than 2 hours.

I had the Eaton posi unit installed in my 95 blazer when I had the rear end rebuilt I liked it. I have thought about the Powertrax unit, it is supposed to be good on and off road but for now finding a new place to live takes precedence over any truck mods, or trail runs for that matter.

What you will find with those sealed beam lights (at least in my neck of the woods ) is that if one blows out the cheapest thing to do is buy another entire unit. The lamps end up costing as much if not more than the whole unit.

I love going in to the dealership where I have the Crew serviced. One of the places I applied to work actually. I love it when they come out to help me and I know more about the vehicles they have on the lot than they do.

Tequila snow cones on a hot summer day. We could use liquid nitrogen, that should freeze it solid then we could shave it with an ice shaver. Might have to wait for it to warm up a bit before drinking though.
