If the 92 4.3 has an air pump check if there is a leak in the tube running to the manifold (at least I am pretty sure it runs into the manifold) that could cause a high pitch whistle. Mind that this is only a guess.

And their brakes. If with the engine off you can pump up pressure on the pedal and then start the truck and the pedal slowly sinks all the way down to the floor you may have the same problem I had.

Thats basicaly the way the Rancho steering stabilizer I have bolts up. I have had no problems with it. I would check for loose nuts occasionally and to make sure it hasn't shifted position which could cause steering bind. Other than that I think you are good to go.

You will find that we all have replaced our factory shocks, Bilsteins seem to be the preferred brand but many of us are running the Ranchos with good luck also. I personally run the Rancho RSX.

They do not show them on there web site but it is possible. All of the other web sites look similar and have links back to Cooper but the pro-comp dosen't.

Any tire with the mountain snowflake designation will have a shorter tread life than a regular A/T or M/T, they are made with a softer rubber compound to better stick to the snow. 20000 on a tire like that is a pretty good run. I have one of the cheap systems on my truck. It certainly does increase the airflow over stock. I did just add a stainless steel heat shield to my system as well. I really do not see how a more expensive system would work any better but it would look more refined.

If you could give me an idea of what i need to do I might be able to get the rotor off and at least be able to get it to the dealers without having it towed. How does the rotor come off on our trucks or is there a way to get to the back side to replace a stud with out removing the rotor.

the list of tools would be great. I have worked on other trucks before but this one is a little more of a pain from the looks of it. The closest parts store that might have loaner tools is near where I work so I would have to wait until monday to find out if they have loaners.

Just got my new Mastercraft Courser A/T's on today these are the same tire as the discontinued Cooper Discoverer A/t's. I went with the 30x9.5x15 on the stock ZR-5 rim and added 1" spacers to the front with 2.5" in the rear.

I had the same problem with mine and I could not get to the bolts to remove it from the frame rail, a rear brake line was running right over the top of one of the bolts. I sprayed the filter with break free and used a set of channel locks one jaw on the edge of the filter and one on the bracket and ...

Still have 1 year/18000 mi on the warranty. So no lift yet been looking into options for lifting but for now just have the t bars tweaked out, with the lift shackles and roadmaster suspension in the rear. Its between a 30x9.5x15 or a very small 31x10.5x15 actual size 30.0 or the third choice comes in at 30.2. I think I have a good amount of room in the rear just not sure about the front.

Looking at replacing my stock tires this spring and was wondering if anyone knows of a tire size calculator or offhand knows the conversion of tread width vs rim width. I am looking at a set of tires that at measured rim width of 7.5 runs a tread width of 7.3/section width 9.3 . My other size choice...

Body lift kit differences

I was digging around in my garage the other day and I came across the PA542 2" body lift kit I bought but never installed on my 84 Jimmy. Any idea what changes are in the lift kit for our rigs vs. this older kit? The tag states it is for 82-94 blazer/jimmy. Just wondering because I see that this kit...
