i dont know the bolt diameter. but if you are going to make them 8" or so eye to eye. i would put a tube in between them in the middle like the daystart shackles do.

Just hear me out. Couldn't you just take an old frame and cut out 18'' off the back. Weld them onto the rear of your frame. finding gears is the cheap part. even if you buy them new, they are cheap. the expensive part is the labor. getting someome to setup your gears is gonna cost a 800 bucks or higher. and you getting 3.73 gears out of a junk yard is a rather big job. if you are going to run 31's to 33's....get the 4.10...

just do that math. look at how much weight those tires are supposed to hold at max pressure 40psi. for example. if your tire can hold 5000 lbs then all your tires together can hold 20,000 lbs. if your truck weighs 5000 lbs. then your tires are going to be crazy hard and make for a bumpy ride. you wo...

shock guys will barade you for putting air shocks on a leaf sprung rig. that said, it can be done and i have seen it. no air in it, and the oil acts as a bump stop. you will also need a nitrous bottle to raise and lower the shock and it has to be fully expanded when you do this. i just dont think it...
