UPDATE***** So, they put in the 44044's and welded in a 1" spacer onto the hy-steer arm so the tie rod will clear the springs. Yeah, so driving to work today I (early morning - still dark) flicked on my hi-beams and *poof* - pitch dark. Now, DRL's run fine but the "hi-beam" marker in the cab is lit. Im guessing that the double burnt bulbs in the culprit.

the stock s10 has a 2 piece axle shaft. a collar is engaged when you activate 4wd that locks those 2 pieces together. a D44 is gonna have manual locking hubs. youre gonna have to get out and lock/unlock. a D30 is gonna have auto hubs that you dont have to manually engage. problem is that if you snap...

I was running speaker wires and such under the front passengers side carpet and found what looks like condensation.
