This one of the most eluding searches I have ever encountered. I counldn't find anything on this rear that explains how it works. Not even at the Dana web site. From what I am reading at Nissan's web site and on different Nissan forums it seams to be a true locker.

Here is a posting by Jeff24 that has all the specs. My 12yo son tells me there is a lot more leg room in the back. I love the way the Nismo rides and handles but as you can see I just can't part with the S-10 Crew yet.

My S-10 Crew is gone

From my side of the driveway to hers. I just returned home with a White 2008 Frontier Nismo Crew Cab. The dealer offered me $6500 trade on my S-10 Crew so I decided sell our Blazer and hold on to the Crew. Pics will come tomorrow if I have the time.

The Blazer has a hump but it is 19" off the back of the center console. In the crew it measures around 11". It may work but you would have to cut it at the hump and pull the it forward. I will keep looking for you but it doesn't look promising.

I would call before I ordered online. Look at the years. The crew cab was not sold in the US until 2001. Why they have the years listed 1997 - 1999 is beyond me. I believe the truck was made then but not sold here. Was there a different body? Call Them!!

First, Welcome to the site. Since you hear the boot I would check to see that the shocks are on correctly Our shocks are mounted upside down. If you put them on the rite side up they will rub the boots.

On the plug behind the steering shaft I just slid up the rubber boot on the shaft and use a plug socket with the hex head top. I then used a box end wrench on the socket. Yeah I busted my knuckle when it broke loose but it healed. :lol:

I would try a little bit of heat. Maybe a soldering iron rested on the top of the cap. Just enough heat to expand the cap to loosen it and not melt the rubber seal on the needle valve.
