Somethings wrong with my front axle/4x4
Last fall I was cruising along at highway speeds and this horribly loud noise started coming from my front axle on the passenger side. It was to the point where I couldn't hear myself stop. My light showed I was in 2 wheel drive, but I have reason to believe the truck was trying to go into 4 wheel d...

Driver side heated seat quit working
This started last winter, but now is the time to get things fixed before this winter arrives. The driver's side heated seat doesn't work, but the passenger does. I checked the fuse and it is obviously fine, because on the seats does work. Is there something that could have come unplugged under the s...

A helms manual would be much more useful for you. They are quite expensive, but you can do all of your own work with one.....with the exception of tranny work. If you want to price one goto www.helminc.com

Well I ordered me up a set from Summit last night- $49 ea top, $42 bot. Tried to order online but the only bottom ball joints it would list for it were 83-94. Gave up online and did it the old- fashioned way  Nice to know I'm getting the right parts. I just ordered them as well and had the sa...

I was denied an alignment today because the shop said my lower ball joints were loose. Damn GM for taking so many shortcuts. You shouldn't be replacing anything on a vehicle with 27k miles!! My hondas never had any problems and I drove them hard. It looks like Moog will get my business Monday. I wan...

I spent the last few hours trying to get the front wheels even...not even close!! I tried the tb crank with only the front of the truck on jackstands, and I tried with it setting on the ground. The driver's side is always higher no matter what I do. I think something is wrong with the passenger side...

New shocks, new shackles....time for TB crank?
I think I should do a mild TB crank to level out the front of my truck a bit. How soon afterwards would I have to do an alignment? I am looking for an inch to an inch and a half. One more question.....does the truck have to be off the ground to crank the TB or not? Let me know what you guys think......

I just got mine on an hour and a half ago too! Nice improvement over stock...rides more like a truck now. Install was a breeze!!!! The hardest part was getting the dust cover things on the shocks. The driving experience is smoother now and more controlled. This is a must for anyone with stock shocks...

After reading this site for awhie, I have decided to get lifted! I think that I will go with the 2" bl for starters and then with a bds or superlift kit. I do have some questions though. I recently traded my '03 4cy/spd S10 in for a '04 Zr5. There is a lot more power in this engine, probably because it is twice the size. Anyway I daily drive this vehicle and plan on using it for the outdoors, as well as towing a boat at some point. So far I have added an Air raid intake and I just o...
