Tomorrow I will have to check all the connections just to make sure nothing came loose. Thanks for the replies. sounds like you have the same thing I do.. the Pioneer alw...

Re: speaker noise
This morning I had a high pitch noise coming across my speakers. Noiser was a constant level regardless of volume level. It stopped after I got to work and restarted my truck. Any ideas? by any chance is it an aftermarket, maybe Pioneer w/XM?? :) I have the Pioneer with XM tuner and I was getting a...

I called the dealer (for a good laugh) to find out the motor price, $380.. called Autozone, same motor (they have to "or...

Re: Lights for our roof racks
How are you getting all that power to them? I don't care for the installs that I have seen so far. And the wiring hanging off the top is not a good install. I can be a little "pickey" about things like that though. I worked on a wiring idea for that a while back.. I'll have to draw it up as a diagr...

Re: Swing away spare tire carrier
I have been debating and working on this mod for quite some time. I tried modifying Isuzu Rodeo brackets, started to build my own brackets , and then came across a wrecked BlaZeR2 at the salvage yard. The brackets looked as close as anything that I had seen to date and the rack , although needing p...

been incredibly busy at the air base and all. so I've hardly been on here.. BUT, I have a problem with my '03.. Thursday night leaving the base, I put down the D/S front window to talk to one of the gate guards that I know, when we got done bs-ing, I hit the 'up'... and nothing.. no move, no noise, ...

Yes, it's definitely the same alternator. These are factory on the Impala SS, Caprice 9C1 cop cars, Caprice Classic, Buick Roadmaster, and certain Caddys. All are the 140 amp version. Some guys in our club have upgraded to the 200 amp in the same case, mainly because of huge stereo systems. BTW, my...

Re: Synthetic Winch Cable/Rope...any good?
Howdy everybody! Looks like I will end up with a Winch after all. Between B-day money from misc. relatives, and my in-laws I'll almost have enough to buy ANOTHER MileMarker   But I don't plan on selling this one....hehe. Anyways, I've heard alot of discussion about synthetic Winch rope. I...

The other day my wife was following me in the CC and I noticed that eveytime she used the turn signals, the DHL's would turn off. I thought that was very weird. Mine is set up with the high beam DHL. Does this happen with anyone else??? I'm guesing you have the GMC version? All the GMC's I've seen ...

Take the ground wire and take it to a better ground. Same thing happened to me. Yep. fast blink when the lights are on is a ground issue.. Its normal at other times becuase its able to back-ground through the lights.. when the power is on, it looses that bath to ground and get flaky.. Also, if you ...

So I read about the corning thing you all said, went out and testing, sure 'nough it happens pretty much only there. Actually, it will do it going straight too. Just slow down to the same speed and then accelerate again. I used to hit that spot all the time in bumper to bumper traffic. I hadn't dri...
