Finally snapped some pics of the car today after owning it since May27th! Treated it to claybar, 1 coat of Liquid Glass pre-cleaner and then 1 coat of Liquid Glass. Damn, I forgot how hard silver is to wax because you can't see where you've done! Pics kinda suck due to the sun angle but you get the ...

Actually I was thinking about looking at the 2006 Avalanveh/Tahoe. Has the Flex Fuel 5.3, but I am not sure whether it is the 4/8 cylinder motor. Funds are tight on this end. The 2006s don't have the DOD motor. They have the 290 or 295 hp version of the 5.3. Still a great engine just not DOD. The F...

How is your mileage with the 5.3 Steve? With 2 vehicles from them I am sure that the Dillons are loving you. It's kinds funny that the Malibu doesn't get 30mpg, esepcially considering it's not that large. Our 2003 Bonneville would always get at least 30mpg on road trips. I took a few by myself for work and got 32! That's also running at least 75mph and the Bonneville is a larger, heavier car than the Malib...

Damn Mike! I do feel bad though! I just wonder what the intake changed that would cause those codes  I also wonder why the passenger mat wouldn't fit? The floor pans should be the same. :( What the hell?? Do you think it has to do with the hookup around the throttle body? Maybe those extra parts were needed for a reason? Malibu SS gets the 3.9 V6. Only the larger SS cars get the 5.3. Is the 3.9L V-6 supercharged or N/A in your SS? Steve It's N/A and with a curb weight around 3300 lbs, it scoots! Salt doesn't effect the paint so much as the undercarriage (unlike along the coasts). You can take a new vehicle and after a couple winters, the underside get's pretty rusty. If I was in the market for a new truck today and my choice was a crew cab S-10 or a Crew Cab Silverado, I'd choose the Silverado without thinking twice.
