Yes, a 5.3 liter DoD (Displacement on Demand). 330 Horsepower :)

Sounds very good. This one had dual mufflers and resonator tips. It's hard to describe the sound, but it's definitelly not the sound of a sedan :D

I would take it to a dealer. But be prepared, you may never get it fixed correctly.... I don't know if our vehicles are cursed with this problem or what, but I've gone through everything. PCM reflashed, enter fuel sender assembly replaced, etc... Mine still gets to 1/4 then drops in 5 miles...

Either way it's not a good idea considering most of the people that have done the 2" or 3" suspension lift have had alot of problems with them. The 5" or 6" lifts seem to fare alot better.

Yes, they're OEM black center caps from an older model S-10. They help on by the lug nut caps. They have a gold Chevrolet logo in the center. Got them off Ebay. Brule, I had intended to tell them to put the white letters on the inside, but it slipped my mind :( Oh well....guess I haven't completelly...

The techs at my local dealership will usually work things out to be covered by my non-oem extended warranty.

My warranty wouldn't cover replacing my fuel level sensor, so they just ordered an entirelly new pump assembly with the level sensor built in :)

They have wide range. I have bought from them several times. Their brightest white LED's are similar to what you'd find in an LED flashlight. Just make sure that you get the correct resistor, as most of the intensities and colors require different resistors.

Rock was running 31x10.5x15's with just the cutout flares....so you should be fine too. You'll rub the frame unless you use spacers in the front.

You could also wire up a bright white LED or two and mount them in the bottom of your mirror housings. A couple of white LED's will work fine for that, and won't be noticeable.

If you're more into photography as a hobby, a camera with good optical zoom is a must. Just make sure the camera has some type of stabilizing technology built in. Otherwise you'll have to use a tripod to get non-blurry shots at a very high zoom level.

If you run 2" spacers on the front, with a BL and TB crank, without the flares, you will rub the fenders like a mofo... 1.5" probably won't be much better. With 2" spacers, my 31x10.5.15's don't rub the frame. Of course now with the flares, they don't rub anywhere :D I will be getting my new wheels ...

I've used mine twice to pick my rear end up out of ruts and move it over a bit. Takes some effort and time, but it beats having to call someone if you're by yourself :lol:

I think GM decided to market the CC in the US and make it the "king of the S-10 hill". So they included every available option. Then they probably decided that consumers liked having options, so they made some stuff optional....

I'm not sure about those spacers, but on both sets of mine, the stock lugs will not fit. The threads are different. but the lug nut caps will still fit. They press on instead of screwing on. I just use a small flathead screwdriver to get them off when I need to.

If you have a CrewCab, a 2" BL is it. I think it is easier to change the plugs with a BL. If you remove or move the plastic/rubber cover under the fender, you can look straight at them.

Sheesh...if they told you $3K to replace the rearend, you need to immediately go to another dealership and never return to that one. You could easily get another entire rear axle for a tenth of that if you look hard!

I haven't had any hot weather, but my trim (the old kind) has started twisting...I'll post pics soon. :)

That's part of the fender. I cut off the lowest bolt hole, but the rest are still there. Once you get under there and peel back the fender lining, you'll get a rough idea of what has to be done.
