Actually, the will rub the most of the back of the front fenders. You'll get some occaisional rub on the front valance, but most will be from the back of the front fender...

I replaced mine with the "Help!" cables from O'Reilly AutoParts. They came with a small bolt and snap ring. The entire change takes about 15 minutes. :)

Jim, hopefully most of the installation, or atleast the starter interrupt, was done using inline wiring harnesses. If so, the most work you'd have to do is trace the wiring from the control unit to the steering column, unplug the inline harness, and plug up the factory(s).

People do associate American vehicles with problems, I think the main reason why is because of a few import vehicles that seem to do really well. One being Honda Accords. People look at those and a few other models and base their opinions on that.

That's the best way to level the truck. I doubt you'll have any problems with 3/4" to 1", as long as they're not cranked up already. Check your Z height measurements and stuff to make sure your bars aren't cranked already if you bought your truck used. If that's the case, you may just need to let on...

Hey Jim, look on the bright side. Those Jetta's can haul a much heavier load than an S-10 ever could.

This one's carrying 1000+ pounds of lumber, and 800 pounds worth of cement bags in the back seat/trunk. :lol:

A word of caution if you want to mount a battery in your toolbox. I have done this, and while it works fine, our truck beds aren't the sturdiest in the world. Mine actually started bending or deforming under the weight of the battery/toolbox toward the front. If I can find a pic I'll post it to show...

The roof rack is supposed to be able to hold a max weight of 100 pounds.

The crossbars also have a slight upward bow as well, which I think would help their capacity.

I've been bit hard by the modding bug again. I bought a Roofrack on Ebay from a 4 door 2000 Blazer last year, and never put it on.
