Something else to think about: A body lift may not raise the frame higher off the ground, but in raising the body, it increases your approach and departure angles, which can be useful in some offroad situations. I agree with Jigg, you don't want to exceed the maximum adjustability that the stock keys offer. You'll run into some issues if you do. Don't forget to add in the cost of an alignment. I guess I've always been a bit cautious when using receiver shackles and hooks. If you use the hitch pin, you run the risk of breaking the pin, or worse, bending it so it can't be removed. Reed, the tow hooks you and I have are pretty stout. After Katrina I gave the crew a workout pulling trees around. Several pieces weighed more than the crew. One almost pulled me into a ditch. No bending of the tow hooks or frame :)

I don't know if it's completelly dead. The fuse is blown of course. When I replaced the fuse a while back it just blew again. Where are the points that I need to plug? Are the at the air pump? Or is there a way to keep the check valves closed to prevent any air from passing either way?

That's really all I told them about the engin--No power below 2K RPMs. They replaced the defective injector. I didn't get a chance to talk to the tech I know who worked on it, as someone else picked it up for me. I do trust him though, and don't think he would do me wrong.

It's also a good idea to check the grommet on the firewall on the passenger side. Alot of people have had a wet floorboard after running wires through it because it can be hard to get it to seal.

Concerning the TB crank, your results may vary. Some people never experience problems with a moderate crank, while others do. The boot can be replaced, or you can use a large hose clamp and repack it with grease. The body lift would be your best bet to lift the truck as it won't affect your suspensi...

Another good way to measure, that eliminates the tire variable (pressure) is to measure from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the center of the fender.

All S-10 cc's that I know of are 4x4. I have a 2001, which was the first year they were available in the US. In 02 they added the zr5 option package.

In the town I work in, I know of 5. Two with the zr5 option and 3 without. All but one are driven by old women and a very old man. scary.....

thanks guys, so I guess it's conclusive that if your going with 31" x 10.50 tires then your going to need to do some minor cutting on your fender. So be it. I ran 31x10.5x15 BFG ATKO's on stock wheels and never once rubbed (2" BL, TB Crank) until I changed wheels, but then I got Skidz cutout flares.

It helps the truck breathe better. The inlet hole for the box is normally only 2" I think. While this is good for keeping debris and water out of the box, it's not good for airflow.

On a Zr2, you could say it has a suspension lift. The suspension mounting points are lower on the frame, resulting in a higher ride height than non-Zr2 S-series trucks. If you don't want to affect ride quality or handling, you could go with a 2" or 3" body lift. I know you can run 32x11.5x15's with ...

thanks guys , maybe ill rethink what im going to do in the front , i will not get pulled out by my tow hooks often so thats not the main problem, my truk is a daily driver and i dont want to lift it then find multiple problems with suspension, ride, and premature wear.
