Ok, I'm not 100% sure that they're called flarettes. I have two custom brackets on the front that my tow hooks are mounted on. They turn the tow hooks 90 degrees so they're horizontal, and they stick out further (about 3 inches). Oh, forgot about getting my battery replaced too. Right after I got the CC.

The reason my fuel pump was replaced is because my warranty wouldn't cover just the level indicator, so one of the techs I know took care of it since the warranty would cover the entire pump assembly :D

Have you tried turning up the volume and setting the fader to rear only and listening for any sound (static, music, popping, etc...)?


Sounds like the rear channels of the of radio's built0in amp may have gone bad. A perfect time to get an Alpine :D

The good thing about a projector is that they're portable, lightweight, etc... There's only one downside that I can think of.... most won't take to well your power going out while they're running. Something else to think about....If you're considering buying a large TV (50+ inches), why not a projector? THey're becoming increasingly popular, and some can be used with every light in the room on. Why settle for 50 inches when you can get 200? :lol:

Stay away from those!!!!! I had them on my CC for a few weeks. They'll make your rearend look off center.

Basically all it consists of are two metal plates. That's it. No center brace or anything.

It's been my experience that Sony is the king of TV's. I think you'll be satisfied with anything you choose from them. Panasonic's Tau line is also very nice.

As Steve said above, nothing really increases ground clearance except larger tires. Some suspension lifts can increase the angle of the front a-arms to provide added clearance up front, but nothing's gonna help the solid rear axle except tires. It all depends on how you want to fit larger tires, and...

Howdy Neighbors :P

I've made progress. The rear fenders are DONE! Used a jigsaw with a few metal cutting blades. Worked very well. Everything has been sanded and is ready for application. The front, on the other hand, will have to wait until next week for my buddy to get his sawzal back. :cry:

Ok, get a 2" body lift, 2" rear spacers, do a mild torsion bar crank, some shackles for the leafs in the rear, and put some 30's or 31's on. You'll begin to see the truck in a whole new light :) 30's won't put quite as much strain on your driveline components. The stock 235/75/15's are around 29", s...

After doing some research...I think an axle from a 2K and up Zr2 should have rear discs that will require no modifications as far as hooking them up. I'm pretty sure that's correct, but as always, I've been known to be wrong...

Blaze One, just cut your fenders out per Brule's templates, and then add spray on bed-liner to your rocker panels and lower fenders. This way you can go ahead and get the space you need in the feners, and then just add the flares if/when Justin makes them.

You could get a tool chest and some black bedrails, but you'll have a hard time putting a toolbox on the bed and finding some short 2' long bedrails :D

You should reconsider spacers....many of us have been running them with no adverse effects. I've had mine on since I first bought the CC with no problems. You'll love the difference in the look they'll make.

My stock belt just broke. Luckilly I just drove up to work. Since I have it and what's needed, I'm gonna go ahead and install the March Pulleys and belt. My only problem is this: getting to the alternator pulley with an impact wrench. Any suggestions?

I want my wheels to line up with the flares as much as possible, and maybe even extend out a bit. I should be getting my 3" spacers soon and I'll post pics.

Eventually, when I see how the spacers fit with the flares and all, if I have room I might go with 32's...hopefully.

...it looks like you need some spacers in the rear I don't think there is going to be a "fix" for that. The rear flares need to be close to the same width as the front flares to retain some continuity and look somewhat correct. However the rear fenders on the "Isuzu" bed flare out as we well know. ...

It really gives you a new perspective seeing things firsthand.... One of our guys that I know on another crew collapsed while we were down there and had to be taken to a hospital. He's ok, but they never would tell anyone what happened. I found out a few minutes ago that he stumbled over a little ch...
